Scenographic element,  explanatory booklet

Freeports are high-security storage facilities where artworks are kept outside conventional customs regulations, allowing them to circulate primarily as financial assets rather than as cultural objects. A major consequence of this system is that many artworks become difficult for museums to track and, therefore, impossible to present to the public.

This project takes the form of a suspended, open transport crate that physically translates this condition. The crate contains a layered sequence of display and packaging components that gradually transition from complete transparency to functional opacity. Rather than presenting an artwork for direct viewing, this scenographic element reveals the materials, infrastructures, and logistical frameworks that usually remain invisible.
